A cracked supply line at 2am, a water heater that quit on a Sunday, a slab leak that's been climbing your water bill for weeks — whatever brought you here, our Jamaica Plain-based crews are already staged and ready to roll.
Behind Street Wise - Plumbing is a crew of journeyman and master plumbers who've worked on everything from century-old cast iron to brand-new PEX systems. We're insured for the job, licensed in MA, and we stand behind every repair with a written warranty.
Experience matters here — a technician who's replaced a hundred water heaters spots the corroded shutoff valve or undersized gas line before it becomes a callback. That's the level of eye we send to every Jamaica Plain job.
We keep a small, accountable roster rather than a rotating pool of subcontractors — the technician you talk to on the phone is trained to the same standard as the one who'll actually be standing in your Jamaica Plain kitchen.
A surprising number of the emergency calls we take in Jamaica Plain started as something small three or four days earlier. Here's what tends to escalate fast.
When water's actively coming out somewhere it shouldn't, minutes matter more than money. Our on-call technicians in Jamaica Plain are dispatched with the parts and equipment to handle burst pipes, failed water heaters, and overflowing fixtures on the first trip.
Faucet replacements, garbage disposal swaps, toilet installs, and whole-house re-pipes — our residential division works on the full range of what a Jamaica Plain home needs, not just the easy jobs.
We work around your business hours where possible, not the other way around. Commercial clients across Jamaica Plain, MA rely on us for scheduled maintenance, backflow prevention compliance, and rapid response when a fixture goes down mid-shift.
Slow drains, recurring clogs, and sewer backups get diagnosed with real equipment — camera inspection and hydro-jetting — not guesswork. We'll show you exactly what's happening in the line before recommending a repair.
We repair and install both traditional tank and tankless water heaters, and we'll walk you through sizing so you're not overpaying for capacity you don't need.
Hidden slab leaks and wall leaks get located with acoustic and thermal detection equipment before we ever break into drywall or concrete, which keeps repair costs down.
Faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, and shower valves get installed to code, with old connections checked for corrosion rather than just reused out of convenience.
A live dispatcher takes your call, gets a read on the urgency, and starts routing the nearest available technician.
We route the closest qualified technician in Jamaica Plain, and you'll get a realistic arrival window instead of a vague "sometime today."
Before a wrench touches anything, you'll get a written, upfront price for the repair — no surprise line items after the fact.
Once the fix is complete and tested, you get a written warranty — if something related fails, we come back and make it right.
We quote the job, not the hour, so a repair that takes longer than expected doesn't cost you more.
Because our trucks are already staged around Jamaica Plain, MA, we're rarely the "next week" plumber.
We're happy to have every technician show ID and license on arrival; it's a standard we hold ourselves to, not a special request.
If a repair we performed fails under normal use within the warranty period, we return and fix it at no charge.
