A cracked supply line at 2am, a water heater that quit on a Sunday, a slab leak that's been climbing your water bill for weeks — whatever brought you here, our Cortez-based crews are already staged and ready to roll.
Behind Street Wise - Plumbing is a crew of journeyman and master plumbers who've worked on everything from century-old cast iron to brand-new PEX systems. We're insured for the job, licensed in CO, and we stand behind every repair with a written warranty.
Experience matters here — a technician who's replaced a hundred water heaters spots the corroded shutoff valve or undersized gas line before it becomes a callback. That's the level of eye we send to every Cortez job.
Our trucks are stocked before they leave the yard each morning, not after a customer calls — common valves, wax rings, supply lines, and fittings ride along so a Cortez technician isn't making a parts-store run mid-repair.
These are the patterns our Cortez dispatchers hear about most right before a job turns into an emergency call.
When water's actively coming out somewhere it shouldn't, minutes matter more than money. Our on-call technicians in Cortez are dispatched with the parts and equipment to handle burst pipes, failed water heaters, and overflowing fixtures on the first trip.
Faucet replacements, garbage disposal swaps, toilet installs, and whole-house re-pipes — our residential division works on the full range of what a Cortez home needs, not just the easy jobs.
We work around your business hours where possible, not the other way around. Commercial clients across Cortez, CO rely on us for scheduled maintenance, backflow prevention compliance, and rapid response when a fixture goes down mid-shift.
Slow drains, recurring clogs, and sewer backups get diagnosed with real equipment — camera inspection and hydro-jetting — not guesswork. We'll show you exactly what's happening in the line before recommending a repair.
We repair and install both traditional tank and tankless water heaters, and we'll walk you through sizing so you're not overpaying for capacity you don't need.
We use electronic leak detection to pinpoint the source before any demolition starts, so the repair stays focused instead of turning into a bigger project than it needs to be.
Whether it's a single kitchen faucet swap or a full bathroom remodel's worth of fixtures, our team handles the rough-in and finish work in one visit where possible.
You'll talk to an actual dispatcher in Cortez, CO who asks a few quick questions to understand the problem and your address.
Because our trucks are staged across Cortez, CO, dispatch can usually give you an honest, specific arrival window.
Before a wrench touches anything, you'll get a written, upfront price for the repair — no surprise line items after the fact.
The repair is completed, the work area is cleaned up, and you're handed a written warranty on both parts and labor.
We quote the job, not the hour, so a repair that takes longer than expected doesn't cost you more.
Because our trucks are already staged around Cortez, CO, we're rarely the "next week" plumber.
We're happy to have every technician show ID and license on arrival; it's a standard we hold ourselves to, not a special request.
If a repair we performed fails under normal use within the warranty period, we return and fix it at no charge.

Our Cortez dispatch covers the surrounding neighborhoods and zip codes, with trucks staged to keep response times reasonable even during peak call volume.
If you're near Cortez but technically outside the city line, dispatch still covers you — our routing is built around drive time from the nearest staged truck, not a hard municipal boundary.
Because trucks are staged throughout Cortez, CO, most Cortez calls see a technician the same day, with priority routing for active leaks and no-water situations.
Always. You'll know the price before we start, and that number doesn't move once you approve it.
Anything actively leaking, flooding, or leaving a Cortez home without water gets emergency priority, day or night.
Every technician holds a valid CO plumbing license and is covered under our liability and workers' compensation insurance.
Regularly. Cortez has a mix of older and newer housing stock, and our technicians are trained on galvanized, cast iron, copper, and PEX repair alike.
Usually. Electronic leak detection lets us pinpoint the exact location first, which keeps the opening small and targeted rather than exploratory.
Our technicians are trained across the major residential brands, whether you have a standard tank unit or a tankless system.
All work is backed by a written workmanship warranty — if the same issue recurs within that period, we return at no charge.
We quote the job upfront regardless of when the call comes in, so you'll know the price before agreeing to anything, including after-hours calls.
