A cracked supply line at 2am, a water heater that quit on a Sunday, a slab leak that's been climbing your water bill for weeks — whatever brought you here, our Plainview-based crews are already staged and ready to roll.
Behind Street Wise - Plumbing is a crew of journeyman and master plumbers who've worked on everything from century-old cast iron to brand-new PEX systems. We're insured for the job, licensed in NY, and we stand behind every repair with a written warranty.
Our dispatchers know the neighborhoods of Plainview well enough to tell you roughly what's driving a call before the truck even arrives — older sections tend toward galvanized pipe issues, newer builds toward fixture and appliance connections.
Our trucks are stocked before they leave the yard each morning, not after a customer calls — common valves, wax rings, supply lines, and fittings ride along so a Plainview technician isn't making a parts-store run mid-repair.
A surprising number of the emergency calls we take in Plainview started as something small three or four days earlier. Here's what tends to escalate fast.
A burst supply line or an overflowing toilet doesn't care what time it is, and neither do we. Our emergency crews carry shutoff tools, wet-vacs, and common repair parts so most emergency calls in Plainview are resolved in a single visit.
From a running toilet that's quietly inflating your water bill to a full re-pipe of an older Plainview home, our residential team handles the everyday and the extensive with the same attention to detail.
Restaurants, offices, and retail spaces in Plainview, NY can't afford extended downtime over a plumbing issue. Our commercial team is equipped for grease trap service, backflow testing, and multi-fixture repairs on a schedule that respects your operating hours.
Slow drains, recurring clogs, and sewer backups get diagnosed with real equipment — camera inspection and hydro-jetting — not guesswork. We'll show you exactly what's happening in the line before recommending a repair.
We repair and install both traditional tank and tankless water heaters, and we'll walk you through sizing so you're not overpaying for capacity you don't need.
We use electronic leak detection to pinpoint the source before any demolition starts, so the repair stays focused instead of turning into a bigger project than it needs to be.
Whether it's a single kitchen faucet swap or a full bathroom remodel's worth of fixtures, our team handles the rough-in and finish work in one visit where possible.
A live dispatcher takes your call, gets a read on the urgency, and starts routing the nearest available technician.
Because our trucks are staged across Plainview, NY, dispatch can usually give you an honest, specific arrival window.
Before a wrench touches anything, you'll get a written, upfront price for the repair — no surprise line items after the fact.
The repair is completed, the work area is cleaned up, and you're handed a written warranty on both parts and labor.
You approve a flat price before we start — never a rate that climbs once the job's already underway.

We're happy to have every technician show ID and license on arrival; it's a standard we hold ourselves to, not a special request.
